“Vegetarian? How the hell do you work that out with eating humans?”
Before you start going Twilight on me, the vampire in question avoids eating animals. You know, cow, pig, deer, Cornish hen. Humans, however, as most anyone who believes themselves superior will tell you, are not animals. Personally, I think we’re all one big weird looking family (have you ever seen a platypus? Those things are weird looking) but no ones asking my opinion.
That being said, I just can’t imagine vampires going ‘off human’ for other food sources. The psi, energy, and blood varieties all have that in common: it’s humans they feed off of. Which makes for great story telling. Apparently, feeding off a Bengal tiger isn’t the same as feeding off of Joe the Normal Human.
Feeding from the human might be safer at the very least. Have you seen tiger teeth up close? HUGE!
